Comtrade Digital Services has developed a programmed banking platform which allows Viber users to perform a wide range of banking operations using Chatbot. As per Comtrade, this project was completed in a period of three months. Now, Viber users will be able to participate in banking operations with just the tap of a finger and send money to anyone in their contacts instantly. The users will be able to check bank balance and also access several other banking services using this messaging app.
Those who receive payments using Viber payment platform will now be able to retrieve the funds sent to them from an ATM, local branch, or by using a QR code. This banking platform is a division of Viber’s business platform known as Public Accounts. This allows businesses to work together with their potential customers using the messaging app.
Viber had initially started as an app that brings together people. According to Elad Kojocaru, the VP Marketing of Viber, this is a new way to allow the businesses and brands to interact with each other using the Public Accounts service.
Oliver Lynch is Comtrade’s business development director and he believes that the new business platform will transform the banking world. It will make making payments through retail banks easier. It will also improve the payment processors and the way customers make transactions online.
According to Lynch, most of the retail banks now have a mobile app however they do not provide such an innovative and instant payment option like this one. Viber is the only messaging platform that can be directly integrated with the existing digital banking channels of banks using an API.
